This value describes the weight of the product without packaging.

With the so-called FEFCO code, all boxes made of corrugated cardboard are divided into different basic types and provided with a four-digit code. Further information can be found in the know-how area.

The packaging type describes the technical design of the box.

The use of the packaging defines the type of closure required. The box is often sealed with tape for one-time use, or with a (double) self-sealing seal for postage and return. Hinged lids and snap-on lids are suitable for multiple use, storage or archiving.

A key feature of packaging is the bottom construction. This decides how you can erect the packaging and how practical it is to use. You have to seal a folding box with adhesive tape. Boxes with so-called automatic bases, for example, have a construction that can be erected in a flash without tools and also give the box a high level of stability. The maximum package weight. For products that are compact and lay flat on the bottom of the package, you can fill to the maximum. In the case of bulk goods, small parts that do not lie flat in the box, the load on the floor must be checked. If in doubt, choose a slightly more stable box.
